Progress

I'm really enjoying this new project, I have concentrated on my research so far because I know this is something that I tend to lack on in my work. I want my ad shell to be based around the conditions in sweatshops because this is the issue that War On Want aid which affects me the most. I have interviewed 20 people aged 20-30. I know that this is a fairly limited range but so far I have received very useful information. The most useful thing that I have found is that the majority don't like or respond well to emotive imagery. I know that myself I find them to be manipulative and I tend to just look away rather than taking in any information, for this reason I have decided to center my posters around facts with few images.

Bangladeshi sweatshop workers are paid as little as 8p an hour

The recommended living wage in Bangladesh is £22 a month. To earn this, workers must work for 720 hours.

To earn the salary of Nike's chief financial officer, they would have to work 24 hours a day for 179 years.
