The brief asks for the illustration to reflect the message conveyed within the interview. After listening to the Experimental Jetset interview, the part that I found the most interesting was how the designers felt about music in relation to their own design work. Inspiration...music
In the interview withExperimental Jetset, there
is a discussion about the
importance of music and
its relation to design. This
is what I will be basing my
entire 4 page spread on.
The images shown to the

right are a sample of those
that I find bring music to
my mind. Not only the
fact that they feature some
musical aspects but the
colours and flowing forms
have deep connotations for

me in relation to the music
I listen to. I think that this
could be a really
interesting path to follow
and I’m really looking
forward to progressing
with it.

New brief

My new brief is to create a 4-page illustrated magazine article, re-presenting selected sections of an interview from Experimental Jetset.
Experimental Jetset is a small, independent graphic design studio based in Amsterdam, consisting of three people, Marieke Stolk, Danny van den Dungen and Erwin Brinkers.
